As a part of Gib Squad for Global Game Jam 2024 I took part in the making of Serial Tickler, a procedurally generated game where the player runs around tickling random people until they are chased by an horde of angry "tickled" people and even by the police!
We adopted 2 diversifiers: the game can be played with 1 hand, and, thanks to our musician, all of the sfx and music in the game has been composed with sounds made with our mouth.
I am so glad to have made this experience for the first time with such capable creatives from AIV Jam Site.

My contribution to this project was heavily centered on level design to create the level tiles that we used for procedural generation of the infinite city. This challenged us to create diverse and compelling small open level tiles (50x50 m) that could be randomly generated without them feeling "all of the same" and with repetitive design. I think we achieved this goal thanks also to our 3D artists who created a lot of varied city asset in a very small period of time, which allowed to add depth and little details to the tiles!

In working with our 3D artists I also delved into the world of rigging, automatic rigging and animation with AccuRig, learning about this useful tool as we used it to rig our simple character.

It was also very interesting to experiment and learn more about UI, as I worked in creating the speed level that is behind the menu sequence and the menu structure and buttons, working with unreal engine widget blueprints.
I definitely left this Game Jam with new tools, friends and experience, and could not have been possible without the awesome Gib Squad team.
